Weddings for a Living

A legacy podcast and educational platform for wedding professionals

100+ episodes • 2010–2016

Note from Debbie

Weddings for a Living began as a simple bi-weekly email newsletter I created for new wedding planners who wanted honest, practical advices about building a real business in the industry.

Over time, that small idea grew into something much bigger. First, a live online talk show, then a podcast, and eventually a full library of conversations and resources for wedding professionals around the world.

More than 100 episodes later, the mic finally turned off.
Not because the conversations stopped mattering, but because the chapter had run its course.

Today, Weddings for a Living lives on as an archive of those years of learning, sharing, and building something meaningful within the wedding industry—work I'm still proud of—and that continues to be helpful long after it ended.

Inside the Archive

If you're in the wedding industry, you may find yourself going down a rabbit hole here.

  • Real talk about building a wedding business
  • Lessons from working professionals
  • Conversations around pricing, growth, and sustainability
  • Behind-the-scenes insights from years in the industry

Today my work looks a little difference, but the throughline is the same: helping ideas become something real, structured and sustainable.
