This week's check-in is fashionably late--and brought to you from the beautiful island of Grenada.
I mentioned in my last note that I'd be spending some time here, and while I could blame the delay on palm trees and sea breezes... the truth is, I've been fully immersed in what it might mean to live and work from here.
This isn't a vacation. It's part of my long-term dream to be a fully location-independent virtual professional--and this trip is helping me test what that really looks like.
I'm embracing the "when in Rome" mindset--greeting strangers with a smile (nothing new for me, actually), slowing down (a lot), and yes... driving on the left.
Each day starts with a quick planning session (beach included), and I still meet with my business coach to stay focused. Structure and sunlight--it's a vibe.
But I'll be honest: "island time" is real. It's charming... until it's not.
I share more about that tension in this edition's video.
Watch the Quick Check-in
A book I own but still haven't read:
Company of One by Paul Jarvis
It's staring at me from my Audible app, but I've been re-listening to Million Dollar Weekend lately (highly recommended if you haven't checked it out.)
Did you know...
Grenada—aka the Spice Isle--is the world's second-largest producer and exporter of nutmeg! And here's an interesting tidbit: weeds never grow under a nutmeg tree.
Wishing you a peaceful weekend, wherever you are. I'll see you in a fortnight (on time, pinky swear).
Thanks,
Debbie
P.S. I know I said I'd share more about one of my other ventures. And I will--just not today. Think of this as a soft teaser, island time, remember?
