Just popping in with this Tuesday’s update—keeping my promise to show up in your inbox every other week.
This one’s a little less structured than usual (no trivia or 'what I'm reading'), but I wanted to get it out before the holiday weekend.

Want to try the Flashlight Trick?
If you have an iPhone, here’s how to turn on the flashlight by double-tapping the back of your phone:
- Go to Settings
- Tap Accessibility → Touch
- Scroll down to Back Tap
- Choose Double Tap and set it to Flashlight
Now just double-tap the back of your phone—and ta-da! Let there be light. Android users, you’ve got options too!
Some Android phones support similar "back tap" gestures using apps like Tap, Tap or built-in settings (on Pixel models):
If you have a Pixel (Pixel 4a and newer):
- Go to Settings
- Tap System → Gestures
- Choose Quick Tap
- Set it to Toggle flashlight
Now just double-tap the back of your phone to shine bright.
For other Androids (Samsung, etc.):
You can use a free app like Tap, Tap to add this feature. Search for it in the Play Store or online to get started.
I’d love to hear what you think—hit reply if anything stood out. And if you didn’t know about the flashlight thing… you’re welcome
Wishing you a lovely Easter (or just a peaceful weekend if you don’t celebrate).
See you in a fortnight!
Debbie
