Ah... the 'about me' page
Learn how I swapped corporate calendars for creative control—and why I still believe in the power of a well-timed rhythm.
(Spoiler: I still make the magic happen... just without the corporate badge)
I've always been the person behind the scenes making sure things don't fall apart.
For over 15 years, I worked as the right hand to C-Suite execs—the one translating cryptic one-liners into actionable plans, wrangling logistics, and handling the unspoken stuff no one else noticed (but absolutely mattered).
My title? Executive Assistant.
But really? I was a strategist, a fixer, and a calm voice in chaotic moments.
Then Everything Shifted
One day, I realized everything I loved about that role—the strategy, the creativity, the magic of making someone's life smoother—didn't belong to corporate life. It belonged to me.
So I left the office.
And built Debbieville—a digital hub where all the pieces of what I do (and love) can live in one place.
What I Do Now
These days I work on projects that combine clarity, creativity, and problem-solving:
- I plan unforgettable Caribbean weddings through Hitched Away
- I explore and celebrate Caribbean culture and travel at Caribbeanist
- I help solopreneurs untangle tech and build websites that actually work
- I share honest truth about self-employment in my Notes from Debbie dispatch.
Bonus Facts (Because Why Not)
- Forever loyal to tea > coffee
- Will drop everything for a soulful lovers rock melody
- Low-key obsessed with Caribbean history (ask me about the Grenada Revo)
- Currently chasing a work-life setup that's location-independent, sun-soaked, and slightly Wi-Fi dependent
Whether you're here to browse, schedule time, or just nose around (no judgement), I'm so glad you stopped by.
